Lucy Freeman Counselling Welcomes You

Home: Welcome

Person-Centred Approach

You are at the heart of the therapy and the themes we explore are in your control.

My aim is to provide the environment in which we develop a comfortable therapeutic relationship so that you are able to find solutions to your problems and to grow.  I am a qualified and experienced counsellor registered and accredited with the BACP.

You are in control

Life throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can take control of how we respond. In our sessions together, you can explore how to make choices and decisions about whatever may be troubling you.

Facing your challenges

Do you feel like you are always adding new tasks to your to-do list but never crossing anything out or avoiding the difficult aspects of your life? Together we can focus on why this might be to guide and inspire you towards achieving your personal and professional goals.

About the sessions

Sessions are held in a pleasant ground-floor therapy room on the north-eastern side of Salisbury with easy parking.  They last for 50 minutes and cost £50.  I offer short or longer term therapy depending on your needs.  On-line or telephone counselling is also available as an alternative. Contact me by phone or email or by using the form below if you would like to schedule a session.

About Me

My Background and Experience

I provide a confidential, comfortable and trusting space where I help you explore issues that are distressing you.  As an experienced, BACP accredited Counsellor with a background in HR, and conflict resolution, I understand the challenges that life can bring and how achieving a healthy work-life balance can be difficult.  If you are involved in facing change, whether that be at work, in your relationships, following a bereavement or other loss, we can focus together on identifying what really matters to you and how you can work towards your goals and aspirations whilst overcoming hurdles along the way, be they from your past or aspects of your self that are currently limiting your ability to become who you truly want to be.

As well as supporting clients whose life is impacted by work or vice versa, my life experience and training has drawn me to counselling for loss, for example when a loved one dies,  living with ill-heath, or coming to terms with a loss of independence in older age.

Alongside my work as a Counsellor in private practice, I work as an independent HR practitioner, including as a workplace mediator and coach.  In the past I have been a volunteer at the CAB, with CRUSE bereavement services and as a volunteer Counsellor at both a hospice and a cancer centre.
